Object history |
Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde am 1. Oktober 1982 von der Regierung von Schwaben genehmigt. Die Farben Gold und Grün stammen aus dem Wappen des Stifts St. Moritz in Augsburg, das seit 1178 in Memmenhausen belegt ist und im gesamten Gemeindegebiet reich begütert war. Die Eichenblätter und die Eicheln stehen redend für den Ortsnamen. Die Anzahl der Eichenblätter symbolisiert die drei Orte (Aichen, Memmenhausen und Obergessertshausen) der Gemeinde. Die fünfmalige Schräglinksteilung von Silber und Rot sowie der goldene Pfahl stellen das Wappen der Markgrafschaft Burgau dar. Der Seitensparren erinnert an die Herrschaft der de:Oettingen (fränkisch-schwäbisches Adelsgeschlecht)Grafen von Oettingen-Wallerstein ab 1667. |
