Summary[edit]

Description
English: One of the two DHC-8 of the Sécurité Civile used for aerial firefighting, codenamed "Milan 73", drops fire retardant during a wildfire on the Camp des Garrigues, near Nîmes, France, May 2006. Unlike other aircraft built specifically for firefighting, the Dash-8 is limited to 2G vertical loads and requires smoother pull-out maneuvers.
Français : L’un des deux DHC-8 bombardiers d’eau de la Sécurité Civile, de nom de code "Milan 73", effectue un largage de retardant au dessus d’un feu au Camp des Garrigues, à proximité de Nîmes. Contrairement à d’autres appareils spécifiquement conçus pour le ces tâches, le Dash-8 est limité à 2G de facteur de charge verticale, et ne permet pas de manœuvre de dégagement aussi vive.
