Description
English: Stained-glass window depicting King Manuel I of Portugal. King Manuel wears a gilded armour, under a red and white royal mantle. His right hand is hidden under the mantle, and his left his holding a model of the Monastery of Our Lady of Pena, which was ordered built by him. On his hip a sword, and on his neck hangs the Cross of the Order of Christ. The Crown is closed on top (imperial crown) and it has 10 pearls. It is topped by a globe, on top of which stands a Cross. On the monarch's feet, the national coat of arms with 10 castles around the five escutcheons.
Português: Vitral representando o Rei D. Manuel I de Portugal. D. Manuel traja a "ouro", sendo de notar o manto de cor vermelha e branco que se sobrepõe. A mão direita encontra-se oculta sob o manto, e na esquerda sustenta aquilo que parece ser uma maqueta/modelo do Mosteiro de Nossa Senhora da Pena, que por sua ordem seria erguido. À cintura apresenta uma espada embainhada, e do seu pescoço pende uma Cruz da Ordem de Cristo. A Coroa é fechada em cima (coroa imperial), e nela se podem contar 10 pedras. É encimada por um globo sobre o qual se encontra fixa uma Cruz. Aos pés do monarca, um escudo nacional com 10 castelos em torno das Quinas.
