Kommentar: Prägung, zweiseitig. - Die Vorderseite stammt von Daniel Friedrich oder Friedrich Wilhelm Loos, die Rückseite von Johann Veit Döll. - Adolf Traugott von Gersdorf (1744-1807) war ein Physiker und Naturforscher. Er gründete 1779 die Oberlausitzische Societät der Wissenschaften in Görlitz. Er schrieb u. a. über die atmosphärische Elektrizität. Karl Gottlob Anton (1751-1818) war ein Rechtsgelehrter und Historiker. Die beiden Gelehrten vermachten ihre wissenschaftlichen Bücher und Sammlungen der Oberlausitz'schen Gesellschaft. Bei der aus diesem Anlass abgehaltenen Feier wurde den beiden die Medaille überreicht.
