Description
English: picture of deforestation (beginning of XX centuries), in an old book made about importance of trees, written for children in french schols (this picture is comming from the second edition (in 1921). The book named "Manuel de l'arbre" was published by the french association 'Touring-Club de France".
Français : photo illustrant le déboisement massif de l'argentine par les colons européens (ici au début du XXème siècle, tirée d'un ouvrage pédagogique ancien (réédité en 1921 par le Touring-Club de France), à l'intention des enfants des écoles pour les sensibiliser sur l'importance du rôle de l'arbre dans l'environnement. Cet ouvrage illustré de nombreuses photos en noir et blanc était intitulé "Manuel de l'arbre"
