English:

Ship captain Frank Curtis lived in this home with his wife Molly. After the Squak, which he commanded, sank in a storm in 1890, he commissioned Edward Lee to build the steamer Elfin. With the assistance of his two sons, he piloted the boat on six round trips each day between Kirkland and Seattle.
