A drainage pipe passes under a raised roadbed, with a mortared-stone wall supporting the embankment.

Crater Rim Historic District. The raised roadbed with culvert and mortared-stone embankment are located in the Southwest Rift Zone. Asphalt covers the top of the embankment, indicating successive road pavings. The vehicle circulation systems contain a mix of historic and non-historic elements, largely associated with the first master plans of the early 1930s.
