Description

Seen at Hayfield Bus Station on the Summer Sunday E24 service to Tatton Park, introduced in the years just prior to 1986 and de-regulation. At this time the E24 on weekdays consisted of 2 journeys from New Mills to Macclesfield, the lunchtime one involving a 30 minute break savouring the delights of New Mills for the Crosville driver.

It was not a particularly successful service, but was marketed as a Peaks and Plains Bus. It did continue after de-regulation, with a final run as an X24 service being operated on a similar basis by East Midland.
