Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Cross Hill Lane, Hartshead, Yorkshire. Being called a 'lane' and enclosed by hedges suggests that this is a former pack-horse track, although now a public footpath. It must have been well-used by miners walking to work at the Three Nuns Colliery in the early 20C.
