| Description |
English: Crematorium in St Marylebone Cemetery, East Finchley. St Marylebone Burial Board purchased 47 acres in Finchley in 1854. This was a time when inner London burial grounds were full, and a number of large cemeteries were established further out. The cemetery is administered by Westminster City Council, see http://www.westminster.gov.uk/communityandliving/burials/eastfinchley.cfm . The crematorium is privately run by The London Cremation Company, which is a subsidiary of a charity, The Cremation Society of Great Britain, see http://www.srgw.demon.co.uk/CremSoc/ |
