Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Creed: May’s or Bailey’s Mill. Sometimes also known as Mellyn Watt Mill. The remains of two waterwheels survive. They are 11’ x 2’ 6” overshot, in line, and were cast by Oatey & Martyn at Wadebridge. A public footpath leads to the mill site from Tregidgeo Farm – also once water-powered – north west from here. I gained access via Pensagillas Farm, which is nearer, with permission from the farmer. The mill was still listed in a late 19th century trade directory: ‘1893 T Emmett, ‘Bailey’s ml Creed, Grmpnd.Rd’
