Summary
[edit]DescriptionCreed, May's or Bailey's Mill - geograph.org.uk - 105058.jpg |
English: Creed: Mays or Baileys Mill. Sometimes also known as Mellyn Watt Mill. The remains of two waterwheels survive. They are 11 x 2 6 overshot, in line, and were cast by Oatey & Martyn at Wadebridge. A public footpath leads to the mill site from Tregidgeo Farm also once water-powered north west from here. I gained access via Pensagillas Farm, which is nearer, with permission from the farmer. The mill was still listed in a late 19th century trade directory: 1893 T Emmett, Baileys ml Creed, Grmpnd.Rd |
