Le système des cartes interzones est étendu à l'Indochine. Des cartes seront d'abord confectionnées localement, puis les cartes arrivées de métropole seront utilisées.

Il a été signalé : (Voir en particulier "l'Entier Postal" No 56ns de janvier 2001): des cartes locales sans timbre pré-imprimé ni indication de port-payé avec texte préétabli à compléter ou à biffer. Ces cartes, lorsqu'elles étaient affranchies, furent refoulées en métropole car les timbres mobiles étaient interdits (du texte subversif pouvait être caché sous le timbre). Seules les cartes en franchise militaire (FM) ont pu être distribuées en zone occupée.

Carte de confection locale utilisée en franchise militaire de Hà Nôi pour Brest 3/1/41. La partie imprimée ne donne aucune indication sur la possibilité, ou non, de mettre un timbre. Une "puce" mal marquée et l'absence de griffe "inadmis" semble indiquer que la carte a bien été acheminée vers Brest.
