English: Covered Cup And Saucer, ca. 1785
Description
English: Inverted pear-shaped cup on small gilded foot rim; entwined strap handle ending in gilded leaves. On opposite hand is painted a large script letter, K: surmounted by a wreath; both in gilt entwined with pink ribbons and multicoloted flowers; 3 tiny scattered flowers. Round lid with gilded but knob with stem. Pink ribbon encircling knob, with bow tied around gilt frame around letter K, similar to the cup. 3 scattered flowers.
