English: On verso of photograph: The present Frosh Pond which was the central pool and fountain basin on Rainier Vista. The Government Building, at the head of Rainier Vista, with the tall column with eagle with raised wings directly in its front, is at right center. The cascades shown in another picture ran from in front of this column toward, but not into, Frosh Pond. This view is looking northwest .

Frosh Pond was known as Geyser Basin at the time of the AYPE .
