English: Country west of Chagford. Taken from the same spot on Meldon Hill as 1478783. The nearer houses in the centre are along Manor Road. The prominent house in the woods across the River Teign is Gledswood House, straddling the northing gridline. Across to its left is the hamlet of Murchington in SX6882. Below this, down in the Teign valley, is the largely rebuilt Tudor house Holystreet Manor in SX6887 https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1106189 . |
