Summary[edit]
DescriptionCoulsdon North Railway Station 3.jpg |
English: The last day at Coulsdon North railway station. This gives a good impression of this station in its final years. It was quite a large station originally: essentially a terminus, there were, however, two through roads, on the left, serving Platforms 3 and 4, which had not been used for many years. These through tracks led to the 'Quarry line', the route used by the fastest trains from Victoria to Brighton, including the 'Brighton Belle'. Beyond the station was a six-road carriage storage facility, which was taken out of use the same day as the station closed. |
