Deutsch: Wohnhaus in Cottbus, Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 2, um 1880; 1903 Anbau einer hölzernen, zweigeschossigen Veranda an der Hoffassade, südlich einseitig freistehendes Gebäude auf L-förmigem Grundriss, kräftige Bänderung trennt Erdgeschoss und Obergeschosse; Parterre mit Rundbogenfenstern sachlich gekennzeichnet, das erste Wohngeschoss durch Ädikularahmung der Fenster und Erkervorbau außenseitig als Piano nobile hervorgehoben, das Gurtgesims als Zierband ausgebildet, überhöhtes Rundbogenfenster und abgerundete Seiten des Erkers, Unterseite mit Volutenkonsolen, Blattwerk und Festons verziert, Zinkdach mit Eckakroterien, Hauptgesims mit weit vorkragendem Abschluss von Schmuckfriesen begleitet. Im Inneren neben der bauzeitlichen Treppenanlage mit ziervollem Balustergeländer und Wohnungstüren u. a. qualitätvolle Bodenfliesung. Städtebaulich prägnanter Auftakt der Bebauung der Karl-Liebknecht-Straße durch einerseits spätklassizistische Prägung, andererseits durch die in Mode kommende Neurenaissance, verdeutlicht die baugeschichtlich interessanten Entwicklungstendenzen in der Architektur der Zeit; Kulturdenkmal
English: Residential house in Cottbus, Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse 2, around 1880; 1903 construction of a wooden, two-storey annex at the yard side, southern one-sided free standing detached building on L-shaped ground plan, strong banding separates ground floor and upper floors; Parterre with round arched windows practical desidned, the first floor outside highlighted through aedicula framing of the windows and riel porch as Piano nobile, the cornice formed as a decorative band, elevated arched windows and rounded sides of the oriel, underside decorated with volute panels, foliage and festoons, zinc roof with corner acroteria, main cornice accompanied by protruding ends of decorative friezes. In the interior beside original staircase with graceful baluster railing apartment doors i. a. high quality floor tiles. Characterizing the begin of Karl-Liebknecht-Strasse's urban development, by its late-classicist style, as well as by the en vogue neo-renaissance, underscores the trends in architectural historyof that time; cultural heritage monument |
