Summary

Description

Église Notre-Dame et Saint-Marcouf, Cosqueville, Manche, Basse-Normandie, France

English: Two-light stained glass window in the choir (west-most of the south wall), depicting the vision of Jeanne d'Arc with Saint Michael, Saint Catherine, and Saint Margaret. The window is signed Mazuet Bayeux and a date 20 Juillet 1919 is given. Thereby this appears to be the work of Henri Mazuet of Bayeux who died in 1927. Its dedication reads: Don de Mme la Baronne Alonze d'Espinose en souvenir de son Mari. Alonze d'Espinose was born in Cosqueville on 2 May 1882, married to Antoinette Pays, and fell in the Great War on 15 October 1914, according to [1].
