Title
Cornworthy: horse harness pendant
Description
English: Cast copper alloy horse harness pendant. It is shield-shaped. A heraldic harness pendant, the decoration is indistinct, but it appears to show three lions passant guardant, enamelled in red. Shield-shaped harness pendants form the largest class of armorial horse furniture and this one probably dates from the 13th or early 14th century.
