English: Painted in 1662 or 1663 the painting by Bega shows peasants in a tavern. A woman is being offered a drink, probably wine, by a man.
Deutsch: Das Werk von Bega zwischen 1662 und 1663 zeigt Bauern in einem Wirtshaus. Ein Mann bietet der Frau einen Schluck aus der Branntweinflasche, zwei weitere Männer, mit dem Rücken zum Betrachter, trinken ebenfalls oder schlagen ihr Wasser gegen die Wand ab.
