Description
English: Copper alloy vesica (pointed oval) shaped medieval seal matrix dating c. 1250-1400AD. The central motif is a flower flanked by a pair of birds. The text reads *S'ALANI FIL' PhILIPPI (seal of Alan son of Philip). The reverse of the object is plain with an integral suspension loop cast towards the top of the object.
