Description
English: A circular copper alloy trade weight of post-medieval to modern date c. 1500-1800AD. The weight is circular in plan and the sides flare outwards from the base to the top of the object. The top of the weight has a series of concentric rings. The underside has the letter D above V I. The surface is slightly rough and corroded with a dark brown/green patina.

Diameter: 11.2mm; tapering to: 9.9mm; thickness: 4.1mm; weight: 2.7g
