Description
English:

Copper alloy attachment loop (swivel loop) from a medieval purse dating late 15th early 16th century (c. 1475-1550 AD).  The loop in an inverted drop shape in plan with a circular sectioned shank, which is waisted at the centre, terminating in a slightly bulbous end.  This element would have been inserted in the purse bar, forming the swiven mechanism.  The loop is undecorated and has a pale green patina.
