Copper alloy single loop buckle c1250-1400
Description
English: A near complete Medieval copper alloy single loop sub-triangular buckle c1250-1400. The outer edge of the look is expanded and terminates in a trefoil shaped moulding. There is a narrowed and offset strap bar. The top surface of the brooch is decorated with and has a notch for the pin to rest in. The back of the brooch is plain . The pin is a strip of copper bent round the strap bar, the tip of the pin is missing. The brooch is well preserved and has a dark green patina.
