Description |
English: Complete post-medieval copper-alloy harness fitting or strap decoration dating c. 1500-1700AD. The fitting is broadly oval in plan with a domed centre decorated in moulded decoration comprising a series of raised pellets and floral motifs, possibly representing roses. The back of the object is hollow. There are two circular rivet holes; one at 12 o’clock and one at 6 o’clock. The object has a well-developed mid-green patina.
