Copper alloy mould decorated double loop buckle dating c. 1550-1650AD.
Description
English: A post-medieval copper alloy, double loop oval buckle dating c.1550-1650AD.  The buckle has poorly mould decorated that may represent floral motifs on the outer edge of each loop and at either end of the strap bar.  There is also traces of moulded decoration between these motifs. The reverse of the buckle is undecorated.  The strap bar is worn and slightly distorted and the pin is missing.

Length 47.8mm; width 27.6mm; thickness 2.3mm; weight: 9.3g
