Copper alloy leg from a tripod ewer or similar c. 1250-1650AD.
Description
English: A complete Medieval to post-Medieval copper-alloy leg from a tripod ewer (c. 1250-1650AD). The leg is sub-triangular in cross-section and roughly flat at the back. The sides of the leg are slightly convex.  The top is part of the body and the inner surface of the vessel. The foot is damaged but may have taken the form of an animal’s paw.  The leg has a dark green patina.

Length: 68.9mm; width at top: 18.3mm; thickness at top: 24.8mm; width of foot: 13.1mm; thickness of foot: 16.8mm; weight: 65.7g.
