Description
English: Copper alloy hinged and inscribed plate, probably from an animal collar or a horse noseband, dating 1830-1846 AD. On the back are a pair of attachment rivets. The plate bears an inscription which reads:

Rev. C. B. Coxe / Hungerford New- / town, Berks

The plate is folded at the hinge which appears to have an iron pin that has corroded.

Length: 35.5mm; Width: 20.8mm; thickness of plate: 1.3mm; weight: 19.86g
