Description
English: An incomplete a Medieval to post Medieval (c.1450-1550AD) copper alloy, drop handle from a chaffing dish.

The handle has a sub-triangular frame in plan, with rounded corners and rectangular in cross-section. It is plain and undecorated. There is a thick oval framed lug with a short circular platform protruding from the base. The handle has a dark green patina.

Lug - length: 20.6mm; lug: 15.5mm; thickness: 8.1mm; internal diameter of hole: 8.8mm
