Copper-Alloy Biconical Bead
Description
English: A large copper-alloy biconical bead. The bead has a central cylindrical opening 8.35mm in diameter. The maximum external diameter, at the mid point, of the bead is 18.29mm. The bead is 15.16mm high and weighs 14.59g. The external surfaces are decorated with incised lines set a maximum of 2.65mm apart at the mid-point narrowing in towards each of the open ends. The incised lines run laterally from opening, to mid-point and down to the opposite opening. Date uncertain. See PAS record IOW-A7EE12 for a similar item.  As with record IOW-A7EE12, the apex at each end of the bead is slightly flattened.
