Español: Fue fundado en 1683 por don Juan Gaspar Enríquez de Cabrera, duque de Medina de Rioseco y miembro del Consejo de Estado de Carlos II. Hizo traer las monjas fundadoras desde el convento de Almonacid de Zorita (Guadalajara) y convirtió en iglesia, su teatro palaciego, enriqueciendo el templo con una excelente colección de pintura de maestros notables.
La fachada de la iglesia es convenientemente austera, como corresponde a un templo de la orden franciscana. La planta, de cruz latina, consiste en una nave única de tres tramos, con capillas hornacinas entre los contrafuertes, y cubierta por una bóveda de cañón. La cúpula coronada con lucernario se apoya sobre pechinas y remata el crucero, es uno de los pocos ejemplos de estilo denominado ecléctico que quedan en Madrid |
