Congressman John Lewis GA-5, (center) speaks to students participating in NIST's Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program in the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee hearing room. The event afforded an opportunity for Members of Congress to meet students from their district who are in the program. Over 130 students and teachers attended the event as did 21 Members of Congress or their representatives.
