Summary[edit]
DescriptionCongressional Cemetery, 1904 (3116334868).jpg |
Funeral of Moy Sue Wing, Congressional Cemetery, 4/18/1904, 4/19/04 Washington Times. I'm not sure what's actually happening here, but the caption reads, "Moy Jim placing food and money in his dead friend's grave to help him on his long journey." The article reports that, "Moy was buried in the extreme southeastern portion of the cemetery near the Eastern Branch [Anacostia] beside about thirty other of his countrymen, who have died in Washington and been buried within the past fifteen years." Wing owned a laundry on Four 1/2 St., SE between B and C Streets, Geotagged. |
