Comparison of local Cd's of Okamoto & Yagita with those obtained by Goldstein for the infinite cylinder.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Comparison of local Cd's of Okamoto & Yagita with those obtained by Goldstein for the infinite cylinder. Although the works of Okamoto and Yagita relate to cantilevered cylinders (of several L / D slenderness), thus having only one end, the ventilation propagates in a similar way to the (symmetrical) ventilation of the infinite cylinder of Goldstein from both ends. The ventilation flow finds its place in the dead water zone where the swirls of the Bénard-Karman alley are formed.
