Summary[edit]

Description
English: Comet Giacobini-Zinner, 1959 b, October 21, 1959. The left exposure was 15 minutes on Kodak 103a-O, the right exposure 45 minutes on Kodak 103a-E behind a Schott GG 11 filter. Both plates were taken with the 40- inch reflector of the U.S. Naval Observatory Flagstaff Station. The tail is about one-half a degree long.
