Description
English: Confocal microscopy image of a tentacle of the Hawaiian bobtail squid Euprymna scolopes. The blue color stains the cell nuclei, the magenta stains the actin filaments and the green stains the galaxin gene which has the function of selecting the specific bacteria, which will live inside the squid after colonization. Zeiss microscope LSM 900, x40 oil.
Français : Image de microscopie confocale d'un tentacule de la seiche hawaïenne Euprymna scolopes. La couleur bleue colore les noyaux des cellules, le magenta colore les filaments d'actine et le vert colore le gène de la galaxin qui a pour fonction de sélectionner les bactéries spécifiques qui vivront à l'intérieur du calmar après la colonisation.
