Description
English: A complete post-medieval square copper alloy coin weight dating c1577-1603 produced in Antwerp by Hans Foncq.The obverse depicts a ship with rose, with the letter R next to the mast.This R indicates that the weight is to weigh a Rose noble or Ryal.The reverse depicts an upright right hand for Antwerp and flanked by the initials HF for Hans Foncq.There is a number 4 above the F which may indicate the date (possibly 1584 or 1594).
