Description
English: Cpl. Christos Onoufriadis helps guide MV-22B Osprey to the USS Ashland (LSD 48) during Cobra Gold 16 test flight at Utapao, Thailand February 16, 2016. The MV-22B Osprey can reach a max speed of approximately 443 kilometers per hour, which allows the Osprey to respond quickly to distant threats or disasters. This is the 35th iteration of Cobra Gold and is designed to advance regional security to ensure effective responses to regional crises by bringing together the partnering nations. Onoufriadis, from Redding, California, is a crew chief with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
