English: Signs on the side of P Coates & Son's butchers' shop, 11 Main Street, Alrewas, Staffordshire. Bottom right on each sign is historical information in small white letters:
FW Coates was run by Frances William Coates, 1900–32 Coates Bros (Established 1867) was run by Edward and Percy Coates 1932–1936 and Percy Coates 1932–1962) P Coates and Son (Established 1867) has been run by Peter and Anthony Coates since 1962. The green board below the three signs has hooks for dog leads for customers to leave their animals outside the shop. |
