Description
Español: Las armas, concedidas en 1647, son de plata, un brazo móvil del siniestro, armado y que sostiene una balanza, toda de su color, sobre la que dos escudos sirven de placas. El primero, más claro, es de la antigua Francia y Holanda, y al lado pone "Vis". El segundo, más pesado, porta armas procedentes de Portugal; al lado se lee "Jus" y debajo se lee "Proponderae". Por cresta una corona. Este escudo significa que el Jus (derecha) portugués en la tierra pesaba más que el Vis (vigor, fuerza) de los franceses y holandeses, y debido a esto, la ciudad volvió dos veces al poder portugués.
