Julian Rodero Carrasco also said the position of the fleurs-de-lis in the inescutcheon is wrong (1,2 instead 2,1). All mistakes are corrected in this file. El pintor comete varios errores al dibujar en el escudo del retrato una corona de Infante, ya que el Cardenal Luis María de Borbón y Vallabriga nunca tuvo este título. Véase art. El Cardenal Luis María de Borbón y Vallabriga uso una corona ducal que es la empleada por la Grandeza de España con independencia de su título. También alteró el esmalte y el metal (colores) del campo y de la figura en el segundo y tercer cuartel, correspondientes al Reino de León, al invertirlos. El heraldista Julian Rodero Carrasco también señala que las lises figuran en posición incorrecta (1,2 en vez de 2,1). Todos los errores son subsanados en la imagen. El Cardenal Luis María de Borbón utilizó las armas reales abreviadas, el escudo pequeño, sin diferencias en el campo del escudo.
