Description
Español: Escudo de armas otorgado por Carlos I de España a la Alcaldía Mayor de Comayagua en 1517, mas tarde intendencia de Comayagua y finalmente provincia de Honduras.

Blasón: "Cuartelado, primero de gules, tres castillos de oro mal ordenados; segundo de azur, nueve cruces de oro puestas 3:3:3; tercero de azur, sinistrogiro de gules vestido de plata sosteniendo una lanza de plata; cuarto de gules, nueve bezantes de oro puestos 3:3:3.

Timbrado por un corona de oro abierta.

El escudo va acompañado de cuatro banderas acoladas, las 2 superiores con los colores del pabellon naval y las inferiores con la cruz de Borgoña."
