Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf sits moored at Coast Guard Island on a cool December night. The Bertholf was named for Commodore Ellsworth P. Bertholf, the first Commandant of the Coast Guard. The Cutter Bertholf was commissioned on August 4, 2008, and is the first of the Coast Guard's 418-foot Legend Class ship.
