Coast Guard 47' Motor Lifeboat Escorts Fishing Boats 08Dec2009. Winter Storms in Morro Bay, CA 08 Dec 2009 bring the largest swells and waves of the year, which batter the breakwater near Morro Rock, and make entry back into the harbor hazardous for fishermen. Several fishing boats were escorted by two Coast Guard 47' Motor Lifeboats, a tug, and the harbor patrol small blue boat. Photo by Michael "Mike" L.
