Description
English: CLEARWATER, Fla. - Two of seven recover birds are carried by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Refuge Manager, Egmont Key National Wildlife Refuge, Michael Lusk (foreground), U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Victoria Hager of Air Station Clearwater (center), and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Environmental Contaminants Division Chief Dr. Sharon Taylor, DVM, PhD, May 23, 2010 at Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, in Clearwater, Fla. The Brown Pelicans, Northern Gannets, and Laughing Gulls were rehabilitated at the International Bird Rescue Research Center in Fort Jackson, La., and transported by a Coast Guard HC-144 Ocean Sentry Aircraft crew of Mobile, Ala to Clearwater, Fla. The birds, originally rescued from waters and beaches off Mississippi, were released several hours later from Egmont Key National Wildlife Refuge, located south of St. Petersburg, Fla.
