Magyar: A Vay család címere 1418-ból

Ez a régi címer, melynek tervét a címerszerző mutatta be a királynak, a használatban és későbbi címeradományok által lényeges változáson nem ment keresztül. Legtöbb változtatás 1507-ben II. Ulászló király címerbővítésében történt. Ibrányi Gergely egyetlen leánya ugyanis még a XV. század első felében férjhez ment Vay Istvánhoz, kinek neve a címereslevélben is előfordul. Az utódok a családot Vajai Ibrányi néven folytatták. E házassági kapocs emlékére II. Ulászló a Vay és Ibrányi családok tagjainak 1507. febr. 3-án új címert ád, melyben a Vay-címert a Pécz-nembeli, akkor már kihalt Ibrányi-család címerével egyesíti egy pajzsban ekképen: Kék mezőben zöld alapon álló jobbra fordított természetes szarvas, arany agancscsal; jobb szemébe felülről jobbharánt aranytollú nyílvessző nyomúl; a nyíl vasa nem látszik ki. A szarvast fent jobbról hétágú arany csillag, balról ezüst növő hold kiséri. Az egész fölött aranyszegélyű ezüst balharánt pólya, fönt vörös rózsával, lent arany liliommal megrakva. A haránt-pólyát lent a pajzs csücskében természetes kődarab támasztja meg. Ezt az ábrázolást örökíti meg az 1783. évi bárói címer is. Míg az 1830. évi grófi diplomában az a változás történik, hogy az öt címermezőre osztott grófi címer szívpajzsában látható az ősi ábrázolás: kék mezőben patakkal átszelt zöld alapon természetes szarvas homlokába fúródó nyíllal; a szarvast fönt jobbról nyolcágú arany csillag, balról ezüst növő hold kiséri. A címerképen átvonuló haránt-pólya olyan, mint az 1507. évi címerben. És így az 1418-ban kapott családi címer, mely kétségtelenül egy vadászati eseményt örökít meg, némi csekély változtatással ma is használatban van.

Likewise, the Office will not register a government edict issued by any foreign government or any translation prepared by a government employee acting within the course of his or her official duties."
