Description
English: A lead two-part cloth seal measuring 28.9mm in diameter, disc 1 shows traces of moulding but whatever is depicted is not clear. Disc 2 has two circular grooves next to eachother near to one edge. Cloth seals were used in europe from the 13th to the 19th centuries to mark cloth for commercial sale (Egan 1995, 1).
