Title
Cloth Seal
Description
English: A cast lead cloth seal of probably 17th century date. It is possibly incomplete as no connecting strip is present, nor is an obvious break. This seal is comprised of two sub-circular discs. Any distinctive decoration has now worn away, as such, both discs appear blank. Disc 1 shows heavy wear and slight circumferential loss. One third of the seal is bent at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, with the pressure having been applied to disc 2. This has caused the rivet from disc 1 to awkwardly protrude from disc 2.
