English: A clipped silver threepence or sixpence of Elizabeth I of the third and fourth issue dating to 1572, initial mark will be an ermine.Obverse is very worn but would have had the bust of the queen facing left. The reverse has a square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the legend.The date 1572 appears above the shield.The legend would have read [POSVI/DEV AD/ IVTORE MEV].
