| Description |
English: Clarbeston Road signal box The device beside the signal-box just before the railway line divides (one branch going to Fishguard and the other to Milford) was part of the electric train-key token system, devised as a safety measure to preclude the possibility of more than one train entering a stretch of single-track line. The staff on the 'up' train would take the 'token' from the locking apparatus and return it into the net (remains of which visible here) on the way back, the signalman operating the signals accordingly. |
